Project Denjong

Project Denjong is a community dedicated to the archival, study and preservation of historically important elements of Sikkimese culture—such as documents, photographs, correspondence, stories and objects, making it easier for the younger generation of people in Sikkim to creatively engage with them.

We created the identity, stationery and website from them – with the visual language connecting back to traditional Sikkimese patterns and fabrics.

We also created a book series that aims to share the stories of Sikkim and it’s royal family with the reader in a very immersive way, as if reading the journal of the king himself. The book uses images from Denjong’s archive and creates personal narratives around historical, cultural and political issues.
